Pet Coach to the Rescue provides a Social Walker Club that offers the opportunity for dogs and their handlers to learn new skills in a social and mixed-skill environment. Participants are represented by three bandana colors, indicating their level of skill.
Green Bandana - Beginner
The green bandana represents the beginner level, which is where everyone starts and can choose to advance into the other levels. At this level, we also have our Feisty Fido graduates, which are dogs that typically want space from other dogs. These dogs will occasionally make one or two friends from class. We have two trainers per class, so we can focus on all the different levels and needs of dogs in our class.
Blue Bandana - Intermediate
The blue bandana represents the intermediate level, which is awarded to dogs that have passed and obtained the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. The qualifying factors of this test include the following:
To learn more about this test, please click here.
Purple Bandana - Advanced
The purple bandana represents dogs at the advanced level of training. The purple bandana gets awarded to those who have passed the AKC Community Canine or the Urban CGC tests. To learn more about either one of these, please click here.
All skill levels may attend any of the Social Walker Club classes; they are not separated by skill.
All dogs that are new to PCttR need to pass an evaluation ($65) to join the Social Walker Club. These evaluations take place during a Social Walker session, and we allow 2 new dogs to be evaluated at a time. Please review the evaluation criteria below.
We Look at the Following for the Initial Evaluation:
Post-Evaluation for Dogs Who Passed:
If you have additional questions, please contact us, and we will be happy to answer your questions. When you become registered, dog owners are required to bring the following to the Social Walker Club:
If you need a leash or treats, you can make a purchase from us before the start of class. We do not allow any adverse training tools in any of our training sessions, but we will give you a one-time discount for handing over these training tools. Otherwise, click the button below to register your dog for an evaluation to become a member of the Social Walker Club.
